Straw Braided Fascinator with Mint Green Flower – Spring / Summer 2012

It’s suddenly dawned on me, whilst doing through the photoshoots for my Spring / Summer 2013 images that there are so many amazing photo’s of each of my designs, but only have 4 or 5 get used on my website.  And so I’ve decided to do a blog post about each design, giving you a little bit of information on each one and showing you all of the amazing photo’s I have of it.

The first one I’m showing off is this beauty….it’s still one of my favourites:

This fascinator is a round button base and the straw base is completely hand braided by moi.  The braided comes wound up and you have to sew the braiding to get the required base shape and size.  I’ve then added a sinamay mint green flower on top and finished the design with some delicate straw spirals.

When I designed this I was imagining a spring country fete with delicate flowers and happiness!  🙂  I love this design and it’s still for sale!  Shocking!  I’ve made a similar design for a mother of the groom, who had a sinamay base with a mint green flower on it.  That was lovely too!

Here’s the gallery of images for it.  It can also be found on my website.

As always, thanks to the team.  Giggles all day on these shoots!
