Throughout Royal Ascot this year I did a daily blog post & I awarded the prestigious accolade of Favourite Royal Hat & Favourite Hat of the Day! On Day 1 I gave the Royal award to Sophie Wessex.

This beautiful hat is made from a lovely straw. There is a round percher base underneath the brim, ensuring that it sits nicely above the head. You can see the base underneath the brim here.
The brim is an elegant curved dome that sits on top of the round percher & has a wonderful open weave pattern. I love natural straw hats, I think they are classic & suit so many different outfits.
Sometimes straw hats can look a little dated, this piece has been decorated with a black bow on top of the brim. However, I hadn’t noticed it at first, but this black bow is also echoed underneath the brim too. You can just see it in these 2 photos.
Overall I think this piece is stylish & quite frankly I adore it! You can see the rest of the pieces that were at Royal Ascot on Day 1 here.
Thanks for reading.
