Queen Elizabeth at the 100th Anniversary of the Australian Air Force

Last week we saw Queen Elizabeth celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Australian Air Force with a service at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Air Forces Memorial.

The Queen wore this beautiful green outfit, a nod to the national colour of Australia. It has been worn previously & features a gorgeous split crown design; the base of the hat is a cream straw with the lime green coat fabric draped around the crown & trimming the brim of the hat.

There is also then a branch of silk orchids placed delicately on the brim. The elegance of the flowers, seems to soften the bold crown & teamed with the heavy fabric, it brings this outfit into the spring season nicely.

I have noticed the Queen wear brighter greens a few times recently & I really like the shade on her. It’s great to see her out & about from Windsor Castle, & is hopefully a great indicator that we are getting back to normality post Covid lockdowns.

This outfit was designed by Angela Kelly. The hat was made by Stella McClaren.
